Zusammenfassung

French Consulting seeks a Part-Time FAP Educator to deliver classes and briefings to service members and their families across Grafenwöhr, Vilseck, and Hohenfels. You will schedule, prepare, and present educational sessions, maintain records, and help publicize the educator program within the Army Community Service framework.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in a related field, 2+ years in family/child services, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Family & Child Counseling, Counseling, Behavioral Science, Community/Public Health, or Education
• Must include 24 semester hours in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
• Two years experience in organizations addressing child and family abuse within military or community services
• Knowledge of military system and military family lifestyle
• Knowledge of Army Family support system and Army Community Service programs
• Experience delivering trainings/briefings and understanding military structure
• Knowledge of Army administrative/correspondence rules
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet, and email; experience developing and delivering classes in a military/office setting
• Clear English communication skills, oral and written; ability to instruct colleagues and clients
• German or Spanish language skills are a plus
• Must pass background check

We are looking for people who want to join our talented Team in Grafenwöhr, Vilseck, and Hohenfels, Bavaria.

• Title: FAP Educator
• Location: Army Community Service (ACS), Vilseck & Grafenwöhr, and Hohenfels (alternating locations)
• Start date: Immediately
• Job Type: Part-Time (PTOC)

Hourly Flexible = Substitute and replace personnel for planned and unplanned absences at the ACS office. Personnel should be available on short notice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Family & Child Counseling, Counseling, Behavioral Science,Community/Public Health, or Education
• Must include 24 semester hours in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
• Two (2) years of experience with an organization which act towards the prevention of Child and spouse/domestic/intimate partner abuse, for example, an Armed Forces Family Advocacy Program, or two (2) years of experience in Family and Children Services; for example, experience working with child protection services, domestic violence victim advocacy services or women’s shelters
• Knowledge of the military system and military family lifestyle
• Knowledge of the Army Family support system and the Army Community Service and its programs
• Experience conducting professional trainings/briefings and knowledge of the military organizational structure
• Knowledge of Army administrative/correspondence rules.
• Experience utilizing computer programs necessary for the accomplishment of duties (i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet, and email). One (1) yearof experience using these programs in the development and delivery of classes in a military or office setting, such as Army Community Service.
• Ability to present information orally and in written format (i.e., marketing) (in clear English with excellent comprehension) to clearly communicate with and instruct colleagues, supervisors, and clients.
• German or Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required
• Must be able to pass a background check

Job Description

• Provide classes and briefings to service members and their families
• Develop, schedule, prepare for, and instruct classes and briefings

• Develop lesson plans
• Update existing instruction materials
• Publicize all aspects of the educator program
• Representing FAP at events, setting up info tables, and engaging with the public
• Administrative support, including data entry, tracking, record keeping, etc
• Prepare and manage reports and correspondence

Please note that this opportunity is limited to individuals located near the place of performance and in Germany, preferably associated with the US Military under SOFA status and/or Local Nationals.
