We're not just shipping features; we're setting the standard for human-AI collaboration in the modern era, empowering customers to reclaim time for their life's most important work.
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Country Manager for Germany to lead our strategic growth in this pivotal market. This senior leadership role, reporting directly to the General Manager, EMEA, is crucial for establishing and scaling Notion's presence, driving revenue, and embedding our innovative AI-era GTM model. You will build and empower high-performing sales and GTM teams, cultivate key customer relationships, and champion Notion's agentic transformation locally, making a tangible impact on how German businesses operate.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the comprehensive Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, operating rhythm, and growth plan for Germany, with direct accountability for overall regional revenue outcomes across Sales Assist and Self Serve contributions.
- Serve as a second-line manager, responsible for hiring, coaching, and developing frontline leaders and individual contributors across Business Development, Solutions Consulting, Outcomes Architecture, Forward Deployed Architecture/Engineering, and supporting GTM functions.
- Scale a country-first GTM motion, fostering closer relationships with German customers through local executive engagement, nuanced market understanding, and agile field-level decision-making.
- Accelerate customer acquisition and expansion by identifying new opportunities, growing professional workspaces, increasing net-new and upgrade opportunities, and strategically connecting self-serve signals to the sales-assisted motion.
- Secure and cultivate lighthouse customers, transforming their success into market momentum through local storytelling and influencing peer companies across Germany.
- Embed Notion’s AI-era GTM model throughout the German team, including driving agent-enabled customer journeys, first-agent workflow activation, AI/agent demo proficiency, and collaborative \"build with the customer\" approaches.
- Make agentic transformation central to the German GTM strategy, guiding customers to identify high-value workflows, build and deploy Notion Agents, automate cross-functional work, and measure the tangible outcomes of AI adoption.
- Partner tightly with internal teams across Product, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Legal, People, and Security to ensure seamless GTM execution and customer success.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Proven experience owning and executing GTM strategies with demonstrable revenue accountability, ideally within the German market.
- Significant experience as a second-line manager, successfully hiring, coaching, and developing frontline leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to scale country-first GTM motions and drive market penetration in a complex B2B SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of land-and-expand strategies, connecting self-serve and sales-assisted motions to accelerate growth.
- Experience in securing and leveraging lighthouse customers to build market momentum.
- Deep familiarity with AI-driven GTM models, agent-enabled customer journeys, and helping customers adopt AI/automation solutions.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
- Fluency in both German and English is essential for this role.
- Strong collaboration skills to partner with various internal stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Finance, etc.).
