Job summary

Exyte GmbH in Germany is seeking an Expert Contract & Claim Management to lead contract and claim activities across the full project lifecycle. You will shape strategies, mitigate risks, and advise project leadership and stakeholders on contractual matters.

The role requires several years in contract management, deep knowledge of contract law (BGB, VOB, FIDIC), and strong negotiation skills at management level, with fluent German and English. Onboarding and ongoing training are provided.

• Several years of professional experience in contract and claim management.
• In-depth knowledge of contract law (BGB, VOB, FIDIC) and complex contracts.
• Strong negotiation skills and seniority at management level.
• Analytical thinking and a structured, solution-oriented working style.
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for contract and claim management across the entire project lifecycle
• Analysis, evaluation, and enforcement of contractual claims, as well as defense against unjustified claims
• Identification and assessment of risks and opportunities in contracts, and development of appropriate mitigation measures
• Leading and supporting contract negotiations with clients, partners, and suppliers
• Advising project management and relevant stakeholders on contractual and claim-related matters
• Establishing and further developing processes, methods, and standards in contract and claim management

Show your expertise

• Completed degree in Business Law, Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in contract and claim management, ideally in a project-driven environment
• In-depth knowledge of contract law (e.g., BGB, VOB, FIDIC) and experience with complex contract structures
• Strong negotiation skills and confident presence at management level
• Analytical thinking skills along with a structured and solution-oriented working style
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
