Zusammenfassung

ESMC in Dresden is seeking an Equipment Engineer to maintain and optimize advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a clean-room environment, with hands-on diagnostics, troubleshooting and maintenance responsibilities.

You will work with state-of-the-art tools, participate in on-the-job training in Taiwan, and collaborate with facilities, vendors and manufacturing teams to ensure high uptime and product quality.

Qualifikationen

• Legally eligible to work in Germany.
• Willing to participate in one-year on-the-job training in Taiwan.
• Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Materials Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Fluent in English with good command of German.

Aufgaben

• Maintain equipment performance in a clean room environment for quality production.
• Troubleshoot alarms on-duty and resolve fundamental issues.
• Install and qualify new tool sets as scheduled.
• Identify root causes and solve critical equipment problems.
• Improve tool uptime and drive defect reduction.
• Explore opportunities to enhance hardware capabilities.
• Build defense/monitoring systems to prevent equipment failure or performance loss.
• Manage vendor relations and coordinate with facilities, vendors, and manufacturing shift personnel.
• Work shifts include nights, weekends, and on-call in a 24/7 high-volume manufacturing environment.

As an Equipment Engineer, you play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing complex machinery that drives the production of advanced microchips. This role offers hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment. You will develop technical skills in diagnostics, trouble-shooting and equipment maintenance in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment performance in clean room environment for quality production.
• Handling on-duty and fundamental alarm troubleshooting.
• Installing/qualifying new tool sets according to planned schedule in a timely manner.
• Finding root cause and solving critical equipment issues.
• Improving tool uptime availability and driving defect reduction.
• Identifying and pursuing opportunities for hardware capability enhancement.
• Building defense/monitoring system to prevent equipment failure or performance lost.
• Managing vendor relationships and being responsible for module liaison with facilities, vendor, and manufacturing shift personnel.
• Scheduled night/evening shifts, weekend on-duty, and on-call in 24/7 high-volume manufacturing environment are required for business needs.

Job Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in Germany.
• Available for on-the-job training in Taiwan for one year.
• Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics, Mechatronics Engineering, Material Engineering or equivalent field.
• Fluent in English with good command of German.
• Practical experience in a mechanical-related field.
• Understanding of technical documentation and schematics.
• Hands-on work attitude with an open mind-set.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to perform physical work on tools in a cleanroom environment.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing is a plus.
