Job summary

X FAB in Itzehoe, Germany, seeks an Equipment Engineer (m/f/d) for the Itzehoe site to start as soon as possible. You will provide technical support for production facilities and take full technical responsibility for a group of systems.

The role focuses on maintaining system availability, performing maintenance and repairs, documenting work, and deriving improvement measures. You will collaborate across teams to increase production efficiency and ensure reliability in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Master craftsman/technician certification is a plus.
• Experience handling hazardous materials is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work style.
• Fluent in German and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for production facilities and own systems.
• Ensure technical availability of systems and equipment.
• Maintain and repair systems and document work performed.
• Calculate production- and system-specific KPIs.
• Coordinate projects to improve availability and derive improvement measures.
• Collaborate across teams to boost production efficiency.

Your role

• Providing technical support for production facilities, including full technical responsibility for a group of systems
• Ensuring the technical availability of systems and equipment
• Maintaining and repairing systems, facilities, and equipment, including documenting the work performed
• Calculating production- and system-specific key performance indicators
• Coordinating department-specific projects to further develop the systems for the purpose of optimizing availability and deriving improvement measures
• Cross-team collaboration to ensure production and increase production efficiency

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a master craftsman/technician's certification with a technical specialization
• Ideally, you have experience handling hazardous materials
• You demonstrate an independent and solution-oriented approach to work
• You possess strong communication skills, a high level of motivation, and a high degree of reliability
• You are willing to work on-call shifts
• You have a very good command of both German and English
