Job summary

IVAM Microtechnology Network in Itzehoe is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join our production facilities and take technical responsibility for a group of systems. You will ensure the systems' availability, perform maintenance and documentation, and drive KPI-based improvements.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering or related certification, willingness to work on-call, and fluent German and English. We offer flexible hours and remote-work options to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or master craftsman/technician certification with a technical specialization.
• Experience handling hazardous materials is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for production facilities with full technical responsibility for a group of systems.
• Ensure technical availability of systems and equipment.
• Maintain and repair systems, facilities and equipment, documenting work performed.
• Calculate production- and system-specific KPIs.
• Coordinate department projects to optimize system availability and derive improvements.
• Collaborate cross-team to increase production efficiency.

Your role

• Providing technical support for production facilities, including full technical responsibility for a group of systems
• Ensuring the technical availability of systems and equipment
• Maintaining and repairing systems, facilities, and equipment, including documenting the work performed
• Calculating production- and system-specific key performance indicators
• Coordinating department-specific projects to further develop the systems for the purpose of optimizing availability and deriving improvement measures
• Cross-team collaboration to ensure production and increase production efficiency

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a master craftsman/technician's certification with a technical specialization
• Ideally, you have experience handling hazardous materials
• You demonstrate an independent and solution-oriented approach to work
• You possess strong communication skills, a high level of motivation, and a high degree of reliability
• You are willing to work on-call shifts
• You have a very good command of both German and English
