PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The purpose of this position is to join as one of the founding engineering leaders for Avolta’s new advertising platform. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in developing a scalable and modular campaign management system that serves Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and omnichannel media initiatives. The role is based in Berlin and will be a part of the Product & Technology team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and lead the technical architecture of our advertising platform
• Build the MVP — campaign intake & traffic, creative workflow, reporting & dashboards
• Decide what to build vs. buy across core services (CMS, DMP, DSP integrations)
• Hire and mentor the early-stage engineering team
• Partner closely with Product, Ops, and Data to ship scalable internal tools
• Ensure high standards of security, scalability & compliance (GDPR, etc.)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Must have 6-8 years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in a technical lead role
• Must have proven track record in 0→1 product development, ideally in AdTech, MarTech, or workflow tools
• Must have strong in API architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), and modern stacks (React, Node.js, Python, etc.)
• Having a startup mindset: you move fast, solve problems, and build with purpose
• Having experience with programmatic advertising or internal platform tools would be ideal
