Aristo Pharma GmbH in Berlin seeks a BI Specialist Finance & Data Modeling (m/w/d) to transform complex financial data into clear, actionable insights. You will design data models, build ETL pipelines, and collaborate with Finance, Controlling and IT.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration processes.
• Practical experience with dimensional data modeling and Power Query.
• Good understanding of Finance and/or Controlling processes.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-wide data models for analytical and reporting purposes.
• Develop and maintain data integration and transformation processes using SQL, Power Query, and ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory.

BI Specialist Finance & Data Modeling (m/w/d)

to join us at the earliest possible date. While Berlin is the preferred location for this role, we welcome applications from candidates across Germany and other European cities where the Aristo Pharma Group operates through a legal entity, subject to business requirements and local employment laws: Holzkirchen (Germany), München (Germany), Praha (Czech Republic) and Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid, Spain).

Your mission:

As a BI Specialist Finance & Data Modeling, you combine finance expertise with modern data modeling capabilities to transform complex business data into clear, trustworthy, and decision-relevant insights. Working closely with Finance, Controlling, IT, and other business functions, you help build the data foundation that enables better business decisions.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-wide data models for analytical and reporting purposes.
• Develop and maintain data integration and transformation processes using SQL, Power Query, and ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory.
• Build and optimize dimensional models, fact tables, dimension tables, and semantic layers, ensuring a scalable, high-performing, and sustainable BI architecture.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across multiple data sources, reconciling source systems with reporting environments.
• Collaborate closely with Finance and Controlling teams to translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
• Support business stakeholders in understanding data definitions, calculations, and reporting logic.

Your profile:

• Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience working with relational databases.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration processes.
• Practical experience with dimensional data modeling and Power Query.
• Good understanding of Finance and/or Controlling processes.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and bridge the gap between business and technology.
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with Power BI data modeling and report development.
• Knowledge of SAP data structures, particularly within SAP FI/CO.
• Experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse platforms.
• Exposure to budgeting, planning, forecasting, or financial consolidation systems.
