  • Manage and support our data store, data lake, and data warehouse environment for the collection, harmonization, and provisioning of manufacturing data using AWS services, including working with Databricks as a data lake for data science and AI use cases.
  • Develop program code and make technology and system decisions related to the deployment and operation of large-scale ETL/ELT processes.
  • Work with GitHub and established DevOps, version control, and documentation practices.
  • Design interfaces and perform data transformations using integration platforms such as Node-RED or similar technologies, as well as design and implement equipment connectivity and interfaces, for example via OPC UA, including the associated data pipelines required for manufacturing asset integration.

  • Work closely with internal functions across the organization, central platform teams, the global data science community, and external partners including suppliers, technology providers, universities, consultants, and industry partners.
WHO YOU ARE
  • University degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline, combined with practical experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Software Development.
  • Several years of experience building scalable data models, data architectures, and ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
  • Hands‑on experience working with structured and unstructured data from diverse data sources, as well as developing scripts and tools to accelerate data processing and integration.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, cloud platforms (AWS), structured and unstructured data, and software development.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and agile software development methodologies.
  • Strong ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders in visible cross‑functional roles, with a passion for planning and executing data and AI initiatives in a structured manner.
  • Enjoys defining and managing project plans as well as ensuring data availability.
  • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.

This is a fixed‑term position for 24 months.
