Zusammenfassung

NXP Semiconductors in Hamburg is seeking a System Engineer to drive communication, localization and sensing application development on edge devices for industrial automation within the Industrial System Innovation team for European research projects, system demonstrators and reference designs.

You will gather requirements, help define system architectures, implement PoCs, deploy and test using the Edge-AI platform, and collaborate with external partners while representing NXP at consortia and

Qualifikationen

• Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Security/Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Embedded SW development with practical expertise (through full-time work and/or student activities) such as microcontroller/microprocessor programming, interfacing sensors and other chips, UI development, 3D printing etc.
• Know-how and hands on experience in complete SW development lifecycle from prototype, testing, debugging, validation and commissioning
• Knowledge of PCB schematics & layout design, soldering, usage of measurement equipment (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multi-meter etc.)
• Should be familiar with embedded SW development & config management environment (Git, Docker, and related tools)
• Experience with FreeRTOS, low footprint bare metal operating systems, Android and Linux (WSL) Python programming & AI tool usage knowledge would be an asset
• Have good strategic and analytical thinking skills, driving & result oriented personality
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Willingness to represent NXP at customer events/ tradeshows / exhibitions
• Be a team player, engaged, self-motivated with an adaptive way of working
• Have C1 level English spoken & written skills (fluent German would be an asset)
• Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.

Your Responsibilities:
