Job summary

Orbital Critical Systems (CAF Group) is seeking Embedded Software Engineers to join our on-site teams in Germany, with opportunities in Manching, Taufkirchen, and Donauwörth.

The role focuses on designing and developing embedded software in C/C++, debugging and optimization, and collaboration with Systems, Electronics, Verification, and Safety teams. Relocation assistance and language training are provided to successful candidates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Aerospace, Industrial, or similar.
• Hands-on embedded software experience in C/C++.
• C1 English level mandatory; German C1 is a plus.

The positions are on‑site in Germany, with opportunities available in Manching, Taufkirchen and Donauwörth.

What You Will Do

• Design and develop embedded software in C/C++
• Perform software debugging, analysis, and performance optimization.
• Contribute to technical reviews, requirements definition, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electronics, Verification, and Safety teams.
• Ensure compliance with Defense-related standards (e.g., DO-178C, MISRA, AQAP).

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Aerospace, Industrial, or similar.
• Relevant hands‑on experience in embedded software in C/C++
• C1 English Level – mandatory.
• German C1 (will be a plus)
• Applicants must hold citizenship of a European country.
