SGI in Berlin is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to help develop next‑generation embedded products for consumer devices. You will collaborate with hardware and software teams to design, implement and optimise software across the product stack.

The role focuses on Embedded C/C++, Embedded Linux and ARM‑based systems, with responsibilities including device drivers, hardware/software integration and system testing. Experience with Yocto/BSP is advantageous.

We're looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to support the development of next-generation embedded products for a leading technology company in Berlin.

You'll work closely with hardware and software engineers on the development, integration and optimisation of embedded software for innovative consumer hardware products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software in C/C++
• Work with Embedded Linux and hardware-level software
• Support device drivers, interfaces and hardware/software integration
• Debug and optimise software running on embedded hardware
• Contribute to system architecture, testing and product integration

Experience

• Strong commercial Embedded C/C++ experience
• Experience with Embedded Linux
• Good understanding of ARM-based embedded systems
• Hardware/software integration and debugging experience
• Experience with Yocto, device drivers or BSP development is advantageous
• Experience with audio, DSP or consumer electronics would be a bonus
