Jobtailor is seeking a remote part-time virtual math tutor to support K–8 students with pre-designed lessons and targeted help. You will maintain an engaging online classroom, schedule weekly sessions, and participate in onboarding.

A college degree is preferred, and a reliable home setup with fast internet is required. Applicants should have prior classroom or tutoring experience and the ability to connect professionally with students, delivering corrections in an encouraging learning

Qualifikationen

• Classroom teacher, EL/ESL/ELL, tutoring, coaching, or similar student support experience
• Online instruction experience
• College degree preferred
• Ability to deliver pre-designed math lessons and targeted support for students at or below grade level
• Ability to build meaningful professional connections with students
• Ability to create an encouraging and motivating learning environment using supportive corrections
• Computer (laptop or desktop) with webcam
• Clean, distraction-free environment
• Reliable high-speed internet with at least 20 Mbps connection speed
• Must reside in and tutor from one of the listed eligible U.S. states or Washington, DC
• All sessions must be conducted from within the 50 United States or Washington, DC
• Availability often including at least one hour Monday through Thursday between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM ET

• Deliver provided, pre-designed best-practice math lessons and practice extension materials
• Provide targeted support for students improving skills and topics at or below grade level
• Maintain student behavior and engagement in a virtual classroom
• Provide practice time and guide students with supportive corrections
• Build encouraging and motivating learning environments
• Meet with students in consistent, recurring weekly sessions
• Attend at least 80% of claimed sessions
• Participate in the application and onboarding process
• Complete a possible five-minute recorded introduction and tutoring demonstration
• Set up a payment account and complete an in-person FBI background check
