Job summary

RTS Wind AG is hiring an Electrical Service Technician (m/f/d) for onshore wind turbines in Germany. You will perform routine service, preventive maintenance and inspections, ensuring equipment reliability and safety.

The role requires hands-on electrical/mechanical skills and adherence to HSE standards. You will work with a skilled team, handling fault diagnostics, minor repairs and retrofits, while following service manuals and providing timely feedback to site management.

Qualifications

• Completed technical vocational training in electronics or mechatronics.
• Experience in maintenance, servicing or repair of wind turbines.
• Valid GWO standard training.
• Enercon Major Maintenance ISP Training.
• Annual Training for Switching Authorisation for MV Transformers ISP.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance and inspection work on wind turbines according to manuals and specs.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical tests; monitor components such as generators and switchgear.
• Carry out minor repairs and retrofits, and implement technical upgrades.
• Switch turbines and transformers to maintenance mode and ensure safe recommissioning after work.
• Ensure compliance with QA, health, safety and environmental requirements; maintain tools and PPE.

Tasks

• Perform service, maintenance and inspection work on wind turbines in accordance with service manuals, work instructions and technical specifications
• Carrying out mechanical and electrical tests, as well as monitoring and inspecting components such as generators, switchboards, transformers, earthing systems and safety devices
• Conduct minor repairs and fault rectification independently, as well as implementing retrofits and technical upgrades
• Switching wind turbines and transformers to maintenance mode and ensuring their safe recommissioning once work has been completedCommunication with operators, site managers and the service office through daily check-ins and check-outs, as well as providing prompt feedback in the event of faults, delays or deviations from the order schedule
• Ensuring compliance with quality, health and safety, and HSE requirements, as well as maintaining assigned vehicles, tools and personal protective equipment

Profile

• Completed technical vocational training, e.g. as an electronics technician, mechatronics technician or equivalent qualification
• Experience in the maintenance, servicing or repair of wind turbines
• ValidGWO standard training courses
