Job summary

RTS Wind AG in Berlin seeks an Electrical Service Technician (m/f/d) for on-site maintenance of wind turbines. You will perform service, inspections and upgrades in accordance with manuals and safety standards, coordinating with site managers and operators.

The role requires vocational training in electronics/mechatronics, wind turbine maintenance experience, and GWO training. The company offers a permanent contract, competitive pay, and a rotation schedule with allowances.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in electronics/mechatronics or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining or repairing wind turbines.
• GWO training is required or preferred.
• ISP trainings for Enercon/ MV Transformers are desirable.
• Annual switching authorisation ISP training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance and inspection on wind turbines per manuals and specs.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical tests and inspect components like generators and transformers.
• Execute minor repairs, retrofits and upgrades independently.
• Switch turbines to maintenance mode and ensure safe recommissioning afterward.
• Communicate with operators, site managers and service office; provide feedback on faults or delays.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety, and maintain vehicles and PPE.

Tasks

• Perform service, maintenance and inspection work on wind turbines in accordance with service manuals, work instructions and technical specifications
• Carrying out mechanical and electrical tests, as well as monitoring and inspecting components such as generators, switchboards, transformers, earthing systems and safety devices
• Conduct minor repairs and fault rectification independently, as well as implementing retrofits and technical upgrades
• Switching wind turbines and transformers to maintenance mode and ensuring their safe recommissioning once work has been completed
• Communication with operators, site managers and the service office through daily check-ins and check-outs, as well as providing prompt feedback in the event of faults, delays or deviations from the order schedule
• Ensuring compliance with quality, health and safety, and HSE requirements, as well as maintaining assigned vehicles, tools and personal protective equipment

Profile

• Completed technical vocational training, e.g. as an electronics technician, mechatronics technician or equivalent qualification
• Experience in the maintenance, servicing or repair of wind turbines
• Valid GWO standard training courses
• Enercon Major Maintenance ISP Training
• Annual Training for Switching Authorisation for MV Transformers ISP
