Job summary

TGS International Group in Frankfurt is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support major electrical construction projects. You will work within a project delivery team, coordinating technical submittals, RFIs, drawings, procurement, and handover.

You will collaborate with project managers, design teams and commercial functions to ensure safety, quality and schedule compliance, maintain documentation, and support commissioning and site activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or related discipline.
• Experience in electrical construction or large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of project documentation and technical coordination.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
• AutoCAD experience would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.
• Willingness to learn, adapt and take responsibility across different elements of project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, designs and technical requirements.
• Coordinate and manage submission and approval of technical documentation.
• Raise, manage and maintain RFIs and schedules.
• Support delivery with project managers and design/quantity surveyors to monitor progress.
• Ensure latest approved drawings and information are used on site.
• Update redline and as-built information for design team.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate actions with stakeholders.
• Assist procurement and track long-lead electrical plant and equipment.
• Support variations, changes and associated commercial documentation.
• Maintain accurate project records and external correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, standards, Health & Safety and procedures.
• Support commissioning, handover and O&M documentation.

Job description

An established international engineering and construction contractor is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of major electrical construction projects in Frankfurt.

Working as part of a project delivery team, you will support the management and coordination of electrical works throughout the project lifecycle. This will include technical submittals, RFIs, design coordination, procurement, subcontractor management, commissioning and project handover.

The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, Design teams and Commercial teams to ensure electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme, quality and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and become familiar with project specifications, designs and technical requirements.
• Coordinate and manage the submission and approval of technical documentation.
• Raise, manage and maintain RFIs and associated schedules.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, Design teams and Quantity Surveyors to support project delivery and progress reporting.
• Ensure the latest approved drawings and technical information are available and being used on site.
• Review and update redline and as-built information for issue to the design team.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure works are completed in line with project requirements.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate actions with relevant project stakeholders.
• Support procurement activities and track long-lead electrical plant and equipment.
