Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Own electrical primary and secondary design delivery across substations, BESS, and renewables at 110kV+.
• Set design standards, review gates and QA for the German entity.
• Lead and grow a team of design engineers including hiring, mentoring, workload planning.
• Sign off power system studies and grid connection design, acting as senior technical authority in client/TSO/DSO discussions.
• Interface with global engineering to align German design with group standards.
• Support bids and pre-sales with technical input, feasibility, and cost-to-design commentary.
• Ensure compliance with DIN VDE, IEC 61850, IEEE and German grid code requirements.

This is a build-and-lead mandate. You will own the technical direction of the German electrical design function, set the standards it works to, and grow the team around you as the European project pipeline scales.

What you will be doing

• Owning electrical primary and secondary design delivery across substations, BESS and renewable projects at 110kV and above
• Setting design standards, review gates and quality assurance for the German entity
• Leading and growing a team of design engineers, including hiring, technical mentoring and workload planning
• Signing off power system studies and grid connection design work, and acting as the senior technical authority in client and TSO/DSO discussions
• Interfacing with the global engineering organisation to align German design practice with group standards
• Supporting bids and pre‑sales with technical input, feasibility and cost‑to‑design commentary
• Ensuring compliance with DIN VDE, IEC 61850, IEEE and German grid code requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems, Master's preferred
• Extensive HV design background at 110kV+ across substations, renewables or storage, with a period at senior or lead level
• Demonstrable experience managing or technically leading a design team
• Deep command of primary plant and secondary systems, including protection, SCADA and control
• DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSCAD/EMTDC expertise, with the credibility to review others' study work
• Strong grasp of German grid connection processes and standards
• Fluent English. German at professional working level is highly desirable at this level
• Chartered status or equivalent professional certification is welcomed
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Greater Munich area, on-site/Hybrid
