Greenstone are representing a well funded, fast growing battery energy storage developer with an ambitious roadmap in Germany, Brussels, and wider EMEA. Led by three highly experienced founders with extensive networks and a strong track record in renewable energy, the company is actively acquiring RTB (ready to build) projects to bolster their project pipeline for construction in 2026/2027.

What you will do?

• Lead and review the electrical design of utility-scale BESS projects, covering MV/HV grid connection, protection systems, cabling, and switchgear
• Develop and evaluate single-line diagrams (SLDs), interconnection drawings, and technical specifications
• Support grid connection studies, coordinate with DSOs/TSOs, and ensure all designs comply with applicable regulations
• Review and validate designs from EPCs, OEMs, and consultants
• Evaluate and select battery inverters, PCS, transformers, protection relays, and auxiliary systems
• Support permitting processes and prepare technical documentation
• Provide technical guidance during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases
• Conduct site visits, FATs, SATs, and lead troubleshooting efforts
• Collaborate closely with development, project management, and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution

What you have done?

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field
• 5+ years in electrical design or engineering for renewable energy or energy storage projects
• Practical experience with MV/HV design, grid integration, and utility interconnection
• Familiarity with German grid codes, VDE standards, and BNetzA processes
• Skilled in working with PCS/inverters, SCADA, protection systems, and transformers
• Proficient in ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or AutoCAD Electrical
• Strong analytical and communication abilities
• Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary, international environment
