Enemix in Hamburg is seeking an Electrical Power Engineer to own substation planning end to end, from early electrical design through acceptance testing and handover, with real autonomy from day one.

You will lead planning for new-build and conversion substations from 110 kV to 380 kV, ensure compliance with grid operator requirements and VDE-AR-N 4120 (TAR High Voltage), and contribute to documentation, bills of quantities, and contract awards using DIgSILENT PowerFactory and CAD tools.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent.
• 3 years experience in substation or grid connection engineering; strong candidates with ~1 year considered.
• Proficient in DIgSILENT PowerFactory and CAD tools.
• Fluent German with good English.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of substation planning work end to end, from early electrical design through to acceptance testing and handover, with real autonomy from day one.

What You'll Do

• Lead electrical planning for new-build and conversion feed-in substations from 110 kV to 380 kV.
• Prepare technical planning documentation and supporting design work.
• Ensure full compliance with grid operator requirements and VDE-AR-N 4120 (TAR High Voltage).
• Prepare and review bills of quantities and contribute to contract award negotiations
• Develop technical concepts and help optimise project workflows.
• Provide technical input on change management across live projects and related contract awards.
• Carry out substation acceptance testing ahead of handover to operations.
• Run load flow and short-circuit calculations using DIgSILENT PowerFactory.

What We're Looking For

• A completed technical degree in Electrical Power Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Practical experience in substation or grid connection engineering, ideally around 3 years, though strong candidates with closer to 1 year will be considered.
• Good working knowledge of DIgSILENT PowerFactory and standard CAD tools.
• Fluent written and spoken German, with good English.
• A structured, independent, and reliable way of working, with a confident and communicative manner.
