Qualifikationen

• JD required; must be barred in a US state or territory.
• Five+ years of experience as a lawyer.
• Three+ years experience in Federal sector civil rights matters and/or processing federal sector EEO complaints.
• Minimum three years writing Final Agency Decision reports at the federal level.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Public Trust Clearance.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Knowledge of Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
• Knowledge of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
• Knowledge of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.
• Knowledge of the Equal Pay Act.
• Knowledge of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act.
• Knowledge of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act of 1974.
• Exceptional writing skills.
• Adept at legal research and legal editing.
• References and a writing sample during interview process.

• Drafting and preparing final agency decisions (FADs), the main function of the position
• Reviewing Reports of Investigation (ROIs) for legal sufficiency
• Assisting in processing informal and formal EEO complaints

• Drafting formal and complex legal documents, including accept/dismissal letters, appeal documents, counselor’s reports, and complaint status memorandums
• Conducting legal research and editing
• Reviewing facts and case law
