Dual Student Informatics
Your new job includes
During your dual study program, you will immerse yourself in the digital world of an international retail company and experience how modern technologies shape our global travel retail business. Over the course of the three-year program, you will:
- Gain insights into various IT departments at our Hamburg headquarters during the practical phases of your studies and apply the knowledge acquired through your academic coursework
- Actively contribute to day-to-day business operations and gain a comprehensive understanding of our IT-supported business processes and technologies
- Take ownership of your own areas of responsibility and independently work on exciting projects in fields such as process security, point-of-sale systems, and artificial intelligence
- Participate in specialized training sessions alongside your colleagues, including product and IT training
- Receive regular feedback on your personal and professional development
- Be supported throughout your studies by our Early Careers Team and a dedicated mentor within the respective departments.
- Attend lectures together with other dual students at the HSBA (Hamburg School of Business Administration) during the academic phases of the program
- Have the opportunity to gain international experience through a semester abroad, active collaboration with international business partners during business trips, and a four-week international assignment (subject to availability)
- Receive an attractive salary (€1,285 in the first year, €1,390 in the second year, and €1,555 in the third year), plus holiday and Christmas bonuses as well as 30 days of annual leave
What you should bring along
- General university entrance qualification (Abitur) or university of applied sciences entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife) with strong academic results, as well as successful participation in the HSBA admission process
- A passion for IT topics and emerging technologies
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a strong willingness to learn additional digital tools
- Excellent German and English language skills, combined with strong communication abilities
- An enthusiasm for retail, ideally with some initial practical experience, as well as curiosity for complex challenges and mathematical-logical relationships.
