OpenFn is seeking a senior fundraising leader to develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy targeting major donors, foundations, and strategic partners. This role will operate in a fully remote setting and collaborate with international teams to advance OpenFn's mission and impact.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years in fundraising or philanthropic partnerships, ideally within international development, global health, or technology-for-good organizations.
• Demonstrated network of relationships with foundations, major donors, or other institutional funders active in social impact or technology for development.
• Track record of securing significant gifts or grants and stewarding funder relationships over multiple years.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate technical, mission-driven work into a compelling case for support.
• Strong project management and organizational skills; comfortable building process where none exists.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, fully-remote team.
• Fluent, professional-level English communication skills, written and verbal.

Aufgaben

• Develop and lead OpenFn's fundraising strategy across major donors, foundations, and other mission-aligned funders.
• Establish fundraising processes, systems, and reporting cadence as OpenFn's first dedicated fundraising hire.
• Set and track fundraising priorities with the CEO and leadership team.
• Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with foundations, family offices, and individual major donors.
• Build and maintain a prospective funder pipeline through multi-year commitment.
• Represent OpenFn with senior funder audiences and translate technical work into a compelling case for impact and support.
• Write and coordinate proposals, funding narratives, and reports.
• Partner with the CEO and program teams to gather impact data and stories.
• Build relationships across the Digital Public Goods and Digital Public Infrastructure funding community.
• Represent OpenFn in relevant policy conversations and convenings.
• Track and report fundraising pipeline, commitments, and funder engagement to the CEO and leadership.
• Ensure timely, high-quality funder communications and reporting.

Requirements

• Reliable access to a quiet, dedicated remote workspace with strong, stable internet connectivity sufficient for daily video calls and cloud-based collaboration
• Preferred: experience engaging in policy conversations or advocacy related to digital public goods and digital public infrastructure
• Preferred: existing relationships with funders active in the DPG and DPI space
• Preferred: experience fundraising for a growth-stage mission-driven organization
• Preferred: familiarity with DPGs, open source, or GovTech ecosystems
• Preferred: generalist mindset, comfortable wearing multiple hats in a lean organization
