The role leads a 10-person Electrical Engineering & Grid Connection team across wind, PV and battery storage projects.

Qualifikationen

• Strong background in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or Grid Connection.
• Significant experience in renewable energy or power infrastructure.
• Proven experience leading and developing technical teams.
• Fluent German and strong English communication skills.

• Lead, develop and manage a team of approximately 10 Electrical Engineering & Grid Connection professionals.
• Take overall responsibility for electrical engineering and grid connection strategy across wind, PV and BESS projects.
• Oversee grid connection concepts, applications, technical studies and DSO/TSO engagement.
• Support MV/HV/EHV electrical infrastructure, substations and wider Balance of Plant requirements.
• Establish engineering standards, processes and best practices across the team.
• Work closely with Project Development, Construction, Procurement and Commercial teams.
• Act as a senior technical interface with grid operators, suppliers and project partners.

The Opportunity:

We are exclusively supporting an established renewable energy business in Germany with the appointment of a Director of Engineering. This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for a 10 person Electrical Engineering & Grid Connection team, supporting a substantial portfolio of onshore wind, solar PV and battery storage projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, develop and manage a team of approximately 10 Electrical Engineering & Grid Connection professionals
• Take overall responsibility for electrical engineering and grid connection strategy across wind, PV and BESS projects
• Oversee grid connection concepts, applications, technical studies and DSO/TSO engagement
• Support MV/HV/EHV electrical infrastructure, substations and wider Balance of Plant requirements
• Establish engineering standards, processes and best practices across the team
• Work closely with Project Development, Construction, Procurement and Commercial teams
• Act as a senior technical interface with grid operators, suppliers and project partners

Your Background:

• Strong background in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or Grid Connection
• Significant experience within renewable energy or power infrastructure
• Proven experience leading and developing technical teams
• Strong understanding of the German grid connection environment and DSO/TSO requirements
• Comfortable operating at both strategic leadership and technical decision-making level
• Fluent German and strong English communication skills
