Job summary

WongDoody GmbH in Germany is seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer to build modern, high‑performance web interfaces for complex AI and experience‑driven applications. You will translate UX/UI concepts into scalable frontend architectures using TypeScript, React, and WebComponents.

Collaborate with Product, Design, AI engineers and solution architects; contribute to reusable components, modular patterns, and a clear technical strategy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of practical experience in commercial projects.
• Very strong technical knowledge of TypeScript and frontend frameworks like React or similar.
• Practical knowledge around WebComponents, based on StencilJS Library.
• Experience in documenting component libraries using Storybook.
• Very good German and English language levels (C1+).

Responsibilities

• Build modern, high-performance web interfaces for complex applications.
• Translate UX/UI concepts into scalable and responsive frontend architectures.
• Design interfaces that make complex AI and agent-driven systems intuitive and usable.
• Use the state-of-the-art toolchain, e.g. Github Copilot, WebComponents, React, TypeScript, Storybook and Docker.
• Realize ambitious and performant animations using JS & CSS.
• Develop and integrate APIs for data- and AI-driven applications.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, AI Engineers, and Solution Architects.

What you can expect

What we'd love to see

• 5+ years of practical experience in commercial projects
• Very strong technical knowledge of TypeScript and frontend frameworks like React or simialr
• Practical knowledge around WebComponents, based on StencilJS Library
• Experience in documenting component libraries using Storybook
• Experience using AI coding tools in a responsible manner
• Experience in technical communication with customers’ technical stakeholders, such as solution architects, technical leads, and engineering teams
• Ability to explain technical concepts, architectural decisions, and implementation details clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Mentorship of the members of the Frontend Engineering Team
• Familiarity with agile project management processes such as Scrum or Kanban
• Very good German and English language levels (C1+)
• Work permit in Germany and at least one year of work onsite in Germany
