Job description

Our newly founded Business Transformation practice combines our expertise in the areas of strategy, performance improvement, finance and transformation management. We focus on evaluating and developing new business models, identifying new ways for top line growth, designing organisational structures, optimizing operational processes and developing new production or network footprints. We support our clients in company-wide transformations from analysis and concept development through implementation and often remain trusted advisors even after the project has ended. Typical clients include large and mid-size corporates, private equity houses, creditors, and hedge funds.

We are currently seeking an ambitious and experienced candidate to join our Munich or Frankfurt office as a Director. You will play a key role in leading complex Business Transformation engagements across Europe, developing senior client relationships and supporting the continued growth of our Business Transformation practice.

This is a unique opportunity to combine client leadership, business development and entrepreneurial responsibility with hands-on involvement in strategic, operational and financial transformations. You will work closely with C-Suite executives, management teams and investors, while contributing to the development of our offering, team and market presence.

Responsibilities
  • Advise C-Suite executives, senior management teams and investors on complex and high-impact transformation programmes
  • Lead the origination and acquisition of new engagements, identifying client needs and developing tailored solutions and project approaches
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior clients, acting as a key advisor throughout transformation programmes and beyond
  • Lead complex projects and workstreams with a high degree of responsibility, ensuring high-quality delivery and measurable impact for our clients
  • Define project scope, structure and governance and provide senior oversight throughout project execution
  • Present recommendations and project results to C-Suite and senior stakeholders and represent Kroll as a subject matter expert
  • Support the strategic development and growth of the Business Transformation practice, including the development of new consulting products, propositions and go-to-market initiatives
  • Contribute to the positioning of Kroll in the market through business development, thought leadership and marketing activities
  • Lead, coach and develop project teams, supporting junior and senior colleagues in their professional and career development
  • Work closely with colleagues across Kroll to identify and develop cross-functional and cross-border opportunities
Requirements
  • A very good academic record, preferably with a major in business, economics or engineering
  • A minimum of 8 years’ relevant professional experience, including significant experience in management consulting
  • Proven experience in leading complex transformation engagements in the areas of strategy, organisation, operations, performance improvement or related disciplines
  • Strong track record of working directly with C-Suite executives and senior management teams
  • Demonstrable experience in business development, project acquisition and proposal development, ideally with an established network in the German market
  • Strong commercial mindset and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Strong financial knowledge and understanding of financial statements and key business performance drivers
  • Proven leadership capabilities and experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear and actionable recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial and able to operate effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment
  • Willingness to travel
