Overview
Development Engineer (Mechanical Design & Construction for HV Battery Modules) – Weil am Rhein, Germany. Permanent position. On behalf of our client, a global leader in energy and data transmission systems.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop battery modules and systems, ensuring optimal integration into industrial machinery such as cranes, mining vehicles, mobile robots, and construction equipment.
- Develop cooling and heating concepts for battery systems to maintain performance and safety.
- Engage in systems engineering, ensuring that all mechanical aspects integrate seamlessly within the overall battery system.
- Create mechanical production documentation, coordinating closely with the production and industrial automation departments.
- Specify and execute testing procedures to validate system robustness and compliance, using SolidWorks for design purposes.
Qualifications / Your profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with experience in battery or energy storage systems.
- Proficient in mechanical design for complex, large-scale systems and comfortable with industrial integration.
- Solid understanding of thermal management in high-power battery applications.
- Experienced in systems engineering and using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools for mechanical design.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an international team setting and communicate technical concepts effectively.
- Fluency in English; German is a plus.
