Your Role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Technology Engineer to join our Manufacturing Solutions team in Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining assembly processes and technologies for automotive and electrification products. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient, high-quality, and cost‑effective production, working closely with cross‑functional teams in industrialization, process engineering, quality, and R&D. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of electric mobility and automotive innovation by implementing state‑of‑the‑art assembly solutions, automation, and Industry 4.0 concepts.

Responsibilities
1. Manufacturing Technology & Equipment
  • Select and integrate equipment (such as automation, robotics, and vision systems) into manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely commissioning of new machinery.
  • Address process‑related issues using Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and FMEA methodologies.
  • Train operators and technicians on new technologies and process improvements.
2. Innovation & Digitalization
  1. Drive Industry 4.0 initiatives in assembly, including digital twins, IoT, and predictive maintenance.
  2. Identify opportunities for AI implementation in manufacturing processes.
  3. Utilize SixSigma tools to understand the opportunities for process improvement in terms of cost and quality.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration
  1. Work closely with Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to ensure smooth ramp‑up of new products and technological alignment in process implementation.
  2. Participate in DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews to influence product designs for efficient assembly.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in assembly technology, manufacturing engineering, or process development within the automotive or electronics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of assembly processes, including fastening, bonding, welding, and pressing.
  • Experience with automation, robotics, PLCs, and vision systems in assembly.
  • Familiarity with FMEA, Six Sigma (certification ideal), Lean Manufacturing.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving mindset with a hands‑on approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, working across departments and suppliers.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and handle multiple priorities.
  • Fluent in English and German (preferred or willingness to learn).
  • Flexibility to travel for onsite support.
  • Understanding of electrification and automation trends.
