Job summary

NAXCON GmbH, based in Weil am Rhein with offices including Stuttgart, Germany, seeks a Development Engineer for Transportation Systems and Operational Processes in Oberkochen. You will lead interdisciplinary teams to design processes and tools for sensitive components, coordinating with internal and external partners to deliver on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate holds a technical degree (Bachelor/Master, or PhD), with practical experience and a passion for technology, ready to drive

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field with good or very good grades; PhD is desirable.
• Initial professional experience in the relevant field, ideally with track-and-trace knowledge in custom machine manufacturing.

• Willingness to take on responsibility, structured work, and ability to be a reliable problem-solver.

• Support operations during development and mass production, identify risks and optimize processes.
• Contribute to the future direction of logistics and shipping operations.

Tasks

• Organizing development projects in the field of transportation and shipping, in which customized solutions (processes and tools) are designed for highly sensitive components
• Forming interdisciplinary project teams to coordinate and provide technical guidance on the project team's solutions in collaboration with internal colleagues and external partners
• Managing project progress, presenting updates, ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality, and cost targets, and successfully bringing the development to completion within the scope of your budgetary responsibility
• Examining technical requirements, clarifying open issues, evaluating and analyzing solution concepts and potential risks, and designing processes using all necessary tools
• Address emerging issues, proactively plan investments, costs, and staffing needs, make adjustments, implement development results on-site, and put the developed processes and tools into operation
• Support operations during the development and mass production phases, identify risks, analyze weaknesses, implement optimization measures, and address problems in a targeted and expert manner to ultimately hand over the development results to production
• In summary, you would make a decisive contribution to the future direction of our logistics and shipping operations

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree with good or very good grades in a technical field (e.g., mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, industrial engineering, or similar); practical experience and/or a Ph.D. are also desirable
• Initial professional experience in the relevant field—ideally with knowledge of track-and?trace systems in custom machine manufacturing—along with a strong interest in and understanding of technology will support you
• As an inquisitive pioneer, you demonstrate personal responsibility and independence, and foster a solution-oriented, supportive atmosphere in your interactions with colleagues
• Willingness to take on responsibility and a structured approach to work, as well as the ability to act as a reliable, committed, and assertive problem-solver who takes pleasure in achieving goals
