Job summary

PETKUS Groupe headquarters in Wutha-Farnroda invites an engineer to develop and design new seed processing products. You will prototype, test, document parts lists and hand over to manufacturing, ensuring interfaces between PETKUS and Roeber plants are robust.

Collaboration with software, AI and automation teams is essential. Requirements include mechanical design and CAD expertise, prototyping experience, and fluency in German and English; seed conditioning knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Engineering, technological and/or economical degree as noted.
• Strong mechanical design and CAD skills.
• Experience in prototyping and testing.
• Practical experience with sensors, cameras, optics and measurement systems.
• German and English language proficiency.
• Desirable: experience in seed conditioning and processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design new products.
• Create tests with functionality patterns and prototyping, testing the products.
• Document parts lists, technical specifications and prepare handover to manufacturing.
• Develop interfaces / API between PETKUS and Roeber plants.

In the PETKUS Headquarters we’re looking for someone who can take on the role of developing and designing new products, alongside creating tests with functionality patterns and prototyping, testing the products and supporting the commissioning of the new products.

Your profile

• Engineering, technological and/or economical degree e.g. mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation engineering, process engineering, precision engineering
• Very good knowledge in mechanical design and CAD
• Experience in prototyping and testing
• Practical experience with sensors, cameras, optics and measurement systems
• Good knowledge in German and English languages
• Desirable: experience in seed conditioning and processing
