3defacto GmbH in Germany is seeking a Design Engineer – Mechanical and Plant Engineering (m/f/d) to design assemblies, machines and plants in our growing portfolio of special-purpose machinery. You will create 3D models and documentation, supporting projects from concept to commissioning.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent qualification, can work with SolidWorks, and communicates well in German; English is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Completed degree in mechanical engineering or a state-certified technician qualification.
• Experience in the design of machines or plants.
• Proficient with a 3D CAD system (SolidWorks) and detailed technical design work.
• Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style.
• Clear communication and ability to work across disciplines with colleagues and customers.
• Good German language skills; English knowledge is an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Design assemblies, machines and plants in the field of special-purpose machinery.
• Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
• Support projects from the initial concept phase through commissioning.
• Coordinate with project management, electrical design, production and customers.
• Further develop existing designs and find cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure that technical requirements and quality specifications are met.

Your Responsibilities

• Design: You develop and design assemblies, machines and plants in the field of special-purpose machinery.
• Detailing: You create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, bills of materials and technical documentation.
• Project work: You support projects from the initial concept phase through to commissioning.
• Coordination: You work closely with project management, electrical design, production, assembly and our customers.
• Optimisation: You further develop existing designs and find practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Quality: You ensure that technical requirements, standards and quality specifications are met.

Your Profile

• Qualification: You have a completed degree in mechanical engineering, a qualification as a state-certified technician (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification.
• Professional experience: Ideally, you bring experience in the design of machines or plants.
• CAD skills: You work confidently with a 3D CAD system (SolidWorks) and enjoy detailed technical design work.
• Way of working: You work in a structured, independent and solution-oriented manner.
• Team spirit: You communicate clearly and enjoy working across disciplines with colleagues and customers.
• Language skills: You have good German language skills; a knowledge of English is an advantage.
