Job summary

3defacto GmbH is seeking a procurement professional to join our team in Germany to drive material sourcing for mechanical and plant engineering projects. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of materials for complex industrial systems.

We value experienced professionals with a commercial background, proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems, and strong English communication for international supplier negotiations.

Qualifications

• Completed commercial apprenticeship or degree in Business Administration or related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in technical procurement in mechanical and plant engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Strong English negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Procurement of materials and raw materials.
• Conduct price and discount negotiations with suppliers.
• Evaluate quotations and select suitable suppliers.
• Coordinate supplier complaints and claims.
• Support preparation and negotiation of supplier agreements.
• Review and approve supplier invoices.
• Monitor delivery dates and maintain procurement data.

Your Responsibilities

• Procurement: Purchase materials and raw materials.
• Negotiations: Conduct price and discount negotiations with suppliers.
• Supplier Management: Evaluate quotations and select suitable suppliers.
• Claims Management: Coordinate and process supplier complaints and claims.
• Contract Management: Support the preparation and negotiation of supplier agreements.
• Invoice Verification: Review and approve supplier invoices.
• Schedule & Data Management: Monitor delivery dates and maintain relevant procurement data.

Your Profile

• Qualifications: Completed commercial apprenticeship, degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in technical procurement within the mechanical and plant engineering industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experienced in working with ERP systems.
• Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to negotiate confidently in English.
• Personal Skills: Self‑motivated, well‑structured, and committed working style, combined with strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
