Job summary

Tintschl Technik GmbH seeks a Database Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d) to ensure reliable operation of database environments in Germany. You will manage Oracle, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases, contribute to planning and the development of new database solutions, and support root-cause analysis for incidents.

The role requires hands-on experience, familiarity with ITIL principles, KPI/SLA governance, and the ability to optimize database performance.

For our long-standing business partner AIRBUS we are looking for you as a new employee of Tintschl Technik GmbH as Database Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)with hands-on experience in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.

In this role, you will be responsible for the reliable and high-quality operation of database infrastructures in Germany, joining a technically challenging environment where reliability, continuous improvement and high-quality IT operations are essential.

The main tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensuring stable and high-quality operation of database infrastructures based on ITIL principles
• Administering database environments in line with defined KPIs and SLAs
• Operating, administering and optimizing Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases
• Supporting the planning, development and implementation of new database solutions
• Contributing to the continuous development and improvement of database environments
• Supporting technical root-cause analysis and troubleshooting in case of incidents
• Performing advanced administrative activities within your area of responsibility
• Supporting cost planning and cost control for database-related products and solutions
• Contributing to installation, configuration, automation, backup and recovery activities
• Completed vocational training with relevant professional experience or a Bachelor's degree or comparable qualification, ideally in Computer Science, IT or a related field
• At least 3 years of professional experience in IT / information systems
• Proven experience in the operation of database solutions and technologies, or experience as an IT Project Manager working with database infrastructures
• Strong experience with at least one of the following:
• Oracle in Solaris/Linux environments or Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL
• Experience with ITIL-based operations, KPIs and SLAs
• Knowledge of installation, configuration and Backup & Recovery
• Automation experience is a strong advantage
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including root-cause analysis

English: good professional proficiency

Candidates must be eligible to work on military or NATO projects with the necessary security clearances.
