Job summary

Tintschl Technik GmbH is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to manage and optimize our data center and VDI landscape in Germany. You will oversee Windows and Linux servers, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, and VMware ESXi, while improving policies and patch management.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science and 3+ years of IT experience, with strong English proficiency and eligibility for NATO/military projects. Home office is possible with client alignment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree / Diploma in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
• More than 3 years of professional IT/Information Systems experience.
• Extensive hands-on expertise with Citrix environments, especially Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Strong knowledge of network, server and client environments.
• Experience with Active Directory, Windows 10, Windows Server and patch management.
• Familiarity with virtualization tech such as VMware.

Responsibilities

• Take operational responsibility for data center infrastructures based on Windows and Linux server platforms and virtualization technologies.
• Administer, configure and operate Citrix environments, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Work with Group Policies and VMware ESXi.
• Continuously improve virtualization systems to meet internal user needs.
• Support planning, development and implementation of new server/data center solutions.
• Provide root-cause and incident resolution support within virtualization environments.

For our long-standing business partner AIRBUS we are looking for you as a new employee of Tintschl Technik GmbH to take responsibility for the operation and continuous improvement of data center and virtualization environments in Germany

The main tasks and responsibilities

• Take operational responsibility for data center infrastructures based on Windows and Linux server platforms and virtualization technologies
• Administer, configure and operate Citrix environments, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
• Work with Group Policies and VMware ESXi
• Continuously improve virtualization systems and adapt them to changing internal user requirements
• Support the planning, development and implementation of new server and data center infrastructure solutions
• Provide technical support for root-cause analysis and incident resolution, particularly within virtualization environments

Requirements

Master’s degree / Diploma in Computer Science or a comparable qualification

Professional Experience & Technical Skills

• More than 3 years of professional experience in IT / Information Systems
• Extensive hands‑on expertise with Citrix environments, particularly Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
• Strong knowledge of network, server and client environments
• Solid experience with Active Directory, Windows 10, Windows Server and Microsoft Patch Management
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware is highly desirable
• Knowledge of ITIL and relevant product certifications would be an advantage
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies would also be beneficial: HPE Synergy | Red Hat Server | Oracle | NetApp | NetBackup | SQL | Checkmk
• English: good professional proficiency
• Candidates must be eligible to work on military or NATO projects with the necessary security clearances.
