Job description

Hey!

Imagine amateur football finally had the platform it deserves. Every weekend, millions of people write their own personal football stories -- on pitches, in clubs and on the sidelines. We believe this passion deserves a digital home too.

That's Exactly What We're Building Every Single Day. tl;dr

We're looking for someone who turns data into real insights - you'll own our Teamwear partner reporting and lead our Data Squad.

Main information
  • Start: Immediately
  • Location: Cologne
  • Workload: Full-time
  • Team: Teamwear
Is this a match?

The most important basics -- so we both know if it could work.

  • Location: You can see yourself in our Cologne office (Belgisches Viertel) and are able to come in at least 3 days a week.
  • Experience: You bring 2-5 years of experience in analytics, BizOps, key account or project management and feel confident in the role.
  • Languages are no problem: You speak German and English fluently.
  • You know football: You're genuinely interested in amateur football and have a feel for what moves this community.
  • Startup spirit: You'd rather shape things than just tick boxes - even when that means figuring stuff out without a finished roadmap.
What you'll do - your playing field

This is how you move our mission forward every day.

  • You're the mind behind our partner reporting. From the monthly update to the quarterly business meeting and the half-yearly market share report - it all comes together with you.
  • You find the story in the data. You work with data on tens of thousands of amateur teams and turn it into insights and recommendations that actually make a difference.
  • You're the go-to person for our partner. You prepare our meetings with our partner, are the main contact for our counterpart there and present your results with confidence.
  • You lead our Data Squad. Together with our working students and mini-jobbers, you set priorities, split the work and make sure the data is clean.
  • You get our Teamwear KR projects over the line and keep track of the department's KPIs. You plan, keep an eye on progress and bring the whole team along.

In addition to your core responsibilities, you will also:

  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses and presentations for the Head of Teamwear and the founders
  • Run the weekly Jour Fixe and company reporting for Teamwear
  • Build market analyses for our European expansion
What you bring to the team

We're not looking for a perfect CV. But you should recognise yourself in these points.

  • Reporting: You've prepared recurring reporting before and turned it into a management-ready deck.
  • Data storytelling: You turn numbers into a clear storyline with a recommendation and present it confidently to management.
  • Team coordination: You've led or coordinated small teams, working students or freelancers.
  • Structure: You keep the overview even when lots is going on - and you enjoy bringing all the pieces together.
  • Communication: You communicate confidently - internally and with external partners.
  • Tools: Google Sheets / Excel at an advanced level (pivots, lookups), Google Slides / PowerPoint, Notion or similar with database logic (tables, joins, filters), AI tools in your daily work

Good to know We want you to know what this role really looks like from day one.

  • This role is all about coordination, reporting and partner communication - less about strategy consulting or data engineering. A big part of your month follows a steady reporting rhythm with clear deadlines. If you like that kind of reliability, you'll feel right at home.
  • You'll stand in front of a major brand partner's management and lead a small team at the same time - if both excite you, you're in exactly the right place.
Bonus

Not a must -- but this'll definitely earn you extra points.

  • Experience in sporting goods, teamwear or team sports
  • Basic SQL or a BI tool
The Prematch Setup

We want you to love joining us - and still love being part of the team a long time from now.

  • Employee participation (VSOP) - directly benefit from the company's success.
  • Modern tech setup - We provide the tools and devices you need to be productive.
  • AI-powered work - We use AI tools to work smarter and more efficiently, and provide you with the tools you need to make the most of AI in your day-to-day work.
  • 27 vacation days per year - For your rest and to recharge. Plus special arrangements if you're a parent, so you can better balance family and relaxation.
  • Remote work - depending on your distance to the office, you work 1--3 days a week onsite and the rest flexibly remote - whatever suits you best. Tech & Product roles sometimes offer 100% remote.
  • Three cool offices in Cologne, Berlin, and London - true startup vibes to work and grow together. Want to visit another office? We support that too!
  • Remote, even from afar - Whether it's a week of sunshine abroad or a few days with family - we allow flexible work from outside your usual location.
  • Team events at our locations - Whether after work in Cologne, Berlin, or London: we regularly bring teams together to connect and grow stronger.
  • Offsites with the whole team - Four days out of the daily grind with the entire team: trips, brainstorming, onsite collaboration, and real team spirit.

Still here? Sounds like a pretty good match.

If you've made it this far, we hope we've managed to show you one thing: how we work, what we believe in and why this role at PREMATCH is something special.

Maybe this is exactly the moment you've been waiting for: a team that thinks big, a vision that actually moves things and the chance to help reshape amateur football digitally -- together with us.

Now it's your turn.
