Job summary

Russell Tobin seeks an experienced Data Engineer (m/f/d) to join a high-performing Data and Technology team in Germany. You will work on complex data projects and support large-scale data initiatives and digital transformation.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Python, Databricks, Snowflake and SQL to build scalable pipelines. You will collaborate with Data Scientists, Engineers and business stakeholders across client projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with Python, Databricks, Snowflake and SQL, along with proven experience building and developing scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions.

Requirements

For this position, hands‑on professional experience in all four of the following areas is required:

• Python – strong programming skills, particularly in data processing and automation
• Databricks – hands‑on experience building and managing data pipelines
• Snowflake – hands‑on experience with cloud data warehousing
• SQL – strong skills in writing queries and working with large datasets

WHY JOIN??

• When they are assigned to a client project, they will travel to/work from the client site, approximately 4 days per week onsite.
• When the client project ends and they are on the bench, they remain employed and continue to receive their agreed compensation, even while waiting for the next client assignment.

• So the key attraction is continuity of employment/pay between projects, rather than being paid only when actively working on a client assignment.
