Your Role

As Data Architect & Engineer (f/m/x) in our Digital Lab Solutions department, you will design, build and optimize end-to-end data flows across our biomedical software ecosystem, with a strong focus on device-generated data from customer environments. You enable scalable, compliant and high-quality data pipelines to power advanced analytics, AI-driven applications and digital lab services.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing end-to-end data flows from device data ingestion through transformation, storage and consumption
  • Defining data models, structures and lifecycle concepts to ensure data quality, consistency and lineage
  • Developing scalable data architectures and contributing to platform integration, hybrid ecosystem design and technology strategy

  • Ensuring data governance, security and compliance by enabling traceability, lineage and audit readiness across the data lifecycle
  • Communicating data concepts and insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making
Your Profile

You are a strong match if you combine hands-on data engineering and architecture expertise with a structured mindset, strong communication skills and a passion for data-driven innovation in healthcare.

Ideally, you bring the following qualifications and strengths:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Bioinformatics or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering and/or data architecture, ideally in healthcare, diagnostics or other regulated environments

  • Knowledge of regulatory and data compliance requirements (e.g. GxP, ISO, GDPR) with the ability to translate them into practical data solutions; experience in regulated environments is a plus
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices, ideally familiarity with infrastructure as code, MLOps or statistical analysis
  • Experience with device-generated or IoT-like data is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to translate complex data topics into business value
