Data4Life seeks a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build a medical image annotation app in collaboration with Mount Sinai Health System (New York). You will design, implement, and ship robust frontend and backend features that scale for clinical researchers handling real patient data.
You will own end-to-end quality, participate in architecture discussions, and collaborate with a diverse, international team across multiple locations. Security and data protection are central to the role.

As a nonprofit supported by the Hasso Plattner Foundation, we build scalable research infrastructures - supporting international standards such as FHIR and OMOP, and collaborate with some of the world's leading clinical institutions.
As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will work on a medical image annotation application built in collaboration with Mount Sinai Health System in New York, one of the largest and most respected academic medical centers in the United States. Your code will support clinical researchers working with real patient data at scale.
Design, build, and ship high-quality frontend and backend features — writing accessible, performant, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Contribute to software design and architecture decisions, and take part in code reviews across the full stack.
Design with security at the core — shaping authorization concepts and data protection architecture from the ground up, including the documentation that supports review and sign-off by our clinical partners.
A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer or full-stack developer, or equivalent experience.
Professional written and spoken English, German language skills a plus.
