Zusammenfassung

GMV is seeking a Security professional to join its Security team in Germany. You will coordinate personnel and facility security clearances, and develop, implement and manage official documentation in compliance with security requirements.

You will advise on personnel security matters, plan physical security activities, and act as deputy Security Officer when needed, ensuring procedures meet authorities and company policies. German authorities' liaison and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Initial professional experience in a security-relevant environment.
• Ability to work with government compliance requirements with discretion and responsibility.
• Excellent command of German for communication with authorities; good English for internal communication.
• Familiarity with the German Security Clearance Act (SÜG) is advantageous.
• Experience as Deputy Security Officer or related roles is a plus.
• Independent, structured, and reliable way of working.

What challenge will you be taking on?

You will be part of our Security team, where you will coordinate with projects – particularly in Germany – to facilitate personnel security clearances (PSC) and facility security clearances (FSC). Your role will also include the development, implementation, and management of official documentation in compliance with security requirements.

• Providing comprehensive advice on all matters related to personnel security.
• Planning, approving, conducting, and monitoring activities related to physical security.
• Acting as a deputy for the Security Officer when required and supporting them in their tasks.
• Carrying out security procedures as defined by relevant authorities and company policies.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Initial professional experience (approx. 1+ years) in a security-relevant environment (e.g. administration, regulatory bodies, compliance).
• Ability to work with government compliance requirements and handle sensitive information with discretion, integrity, and responsibility.
• Excellent command of German (for communication with authorities) and good command of English (for internal communication).
• Familiarity with the German Security Clearance Act (SÜG) is an advantage, but not mandatory.
• Knowledge or experience in roles such as Deputy Security Officer, classified document custodian (VS‑Verwalter), sabotage protection representative, or PRS contact person is a plus.
• Independent, structured, and reliable way of working.
• Willingness to undergo a security clearance and to participate in regular on‑call duty outside normal working hours.
