Job summary

Haupt Racing Team in Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany seeks a cost and project controller to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost developments for racing projects and customer assignments. You will work closely with project managers and finance colleagues to ensure accurate reporting and commercial decision support.

You bring a completed commercial qualification, strong numerical skills, and hands-on experience in controlling.

Qualifications

• Experience in controlling, ideally in project controlling.
• Experience in preparing and monitoring project budgets, forecasts and cost developments.
• Ability to analyse and present business performance indicators and prepare reports.
• Good communication with project managers and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project cost calculations.
• Continuously monitor, evaluate and analyse project costs.
• Support project planning from a commercial perspective.
• Identify budget variances, cost risks and opportunities for optimisation.
• Prepare reports, analyses and decision-making documents for management and project managers.

What you bring:

• Completed commercial vocational training or a degree in business administration, controlling, finance or a comparable qualification
• Relevant professional experience in controlling, ideally in project controlling
• Experience in preparing and monitoring project budgets, forecasts and cost developments
• Good knowledge of analysing and presenting business performance indicators and preparing reports
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of DATEV is an advantage
• Knowledge of Sage and/or ELO is an advantage
• Strong numerical skills and a structured, analytical and independent approach to work
• Team spirit, reliability, resilience and a strong sense of responsibility
• Good communication skills and a genuine interest in working with project managers and other departments
• Language skills: fluent German and good English
  

Poject and Cost Controlling

• Preparing and maintaining project cost calculations
• Continuously monitoring, evaluating and analysing project costs
• Supporting project planning from a commercial perspective
• Identifying budget variances, cost risks and opportunities for optimisation

Budgeting und Planning

• Contributing to budget planning for projects, racing season programmes and operational departments
• Ongoing budget analysis and preparation of forecasts
• Supporting workforce planning and assessing the associated costs
• Assisting with resource, capacity and cost planning

Quotation and Financial Reporting

• Supporting the preparation of quotations and cost calculations, as well as the commercial evaluation of planned projects
• Assisting with monthly and annual financial statements
