Haupt Racing Team is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to lead centralised procurement activities and supplier management. The role focuses on recording, monitoring, and optimizing purchase orders, ensuring transparent cost control, and collaborating with internal departments to align with budgets.

The ideal candidate brings several years in purchasing, strong negotiation skills, and German fluency with good English, plus proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

What you bring:

• Several years of relevant professional experience in purchasing, ideally in motorsport, the automotive industry, automotive parts trading, vehicle manufacturing or a comparable technical environment
• Technical understanding and experience in procuring and evaluating technical products and components
• Commercial vocational training or an equivalent qualification
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and ideally experience with inventory management or ERP systems
• Strong cost awareness, analytical thinking and negotiation skills
• Structured and independent approach to work, combined with strong organisational skills and a high sense of responsibility
• Strong communication skills and an enjoyment of working with different departments
• Language skills: fluent German and good English

Purchasing Coordination

• Establishing and organising a centralised purchasing function
• Recording, monitoring and controlling existing and new purchase orders
• Ensuring the consistent and transparent assignment and use of purchase order numbers
• Monitoring outstanding purchase orders and ongoing procurement activities
• Reviewing purchase requisitions for completeness, cost-effectiveness and compliance with internal requirements
• Maintaining a transparent overview of purchase orders, financial commitments and procurement costs

Supplier Management and Price Negotiations

• Managing and developing existing supplier relationships
• Requesting and comparing quotations and reviewing pricing and contractual terms
• Conducting price and commercial negotiations with suppliers
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimising existing purchasing terms
• Supporting the selection of new suppliers and the consolidation of purchasing volumes

Budget and Cost Control

• Continuously monitoring procurement costs and available budgets in coordination with the Head of Finance
• Preparing purchasing data transparently to support financial decision-making
• Regular reporting on purchase volumes, cost developments and savings achieved

Process Optimisation and Internal Collaboration

• Further developing and standardising purchasing and ordering processes
• Ensuring consistent documentation and traceability of all procurement activities
• Working closely with internal departments to identify and coordinate procurement requirements
• Coordinating with the Head of Finance regarding budgets, approvals and cost developments
• Identifying opportunities to optimise costs, processes and supplier structures
