Hyundai Motorsport GmbH, based near Frankfurt, seeks a Control & Simulation Engineer to join the team. You will work on control software, physical models, and HIL test systems for an advanced race car program.

The role emphasizes model-based development for hybrid propulsion, with collaboration across a dynamic, international team. English fluency is required; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience in functional/physical model development, SIL/MIL/HIL testing and application is required.
• Strong understanding of car and powertrain control (ICE and hybrid).
• Proficient with model-based controls using MATLAB/Simulink and data analysis.
• Experience with debugging C code is preferred.
• Familiarity with HIL automatic testing using SimulinkRT is advantageous.

Based in Alzenau, near Frankfurt in Germany, Hyundai Motorsport GmbH is responsible for Hyundai’s global motorsport activities and primarily for its World Rally Championship program. We are currently looking for a Control & Simulation Engineer to join in our team.

Main tasks

• Assist in control software/physical model development and validation for a race car.
• Development and maintenance of HIL test system - Software & Calibration.
• Automation of test cases on the HIL system.
• Assist in HIL application and testing of control software and hardware.
• Participate in specifying test cases based on requirements, system behaviour models and robustness analysis.
• Developing innovative solutions in the field of model-based development for a hybrid/alternate propulsion powertrain.
• Version management and documentation of the results and models.

Qualifications

• Min. Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of previous experience in Functional- / Physical model- development, SIL/MIL/HIL testing and application.
• Good understanding of a car and powertrain (ICE and hybrid) control.
• Strong knowledge on model based controls with Matlab/Simulink, Engine Management Systems and data analysis (Marelli or equivalent).
• Good understanding of debugging C codes.
• HIL Automatic testing with SimulinkRT (or similar)
• Experience from motorsport is considered as an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent English is compulsory, German speaking is a plus.
