John Paul Construction is seeking a Commercial Manager in Germany to oversee financial performance on complex construction projects. You will prepare valuations, manage cash flow, and coordinate with procurement to place sub-contracts and ensure contract compliance.

The role requires over 10 years of experience in construction or civil engineering, Chartered or working towards chartership with SCS, and strong interpersonal communication.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction/civil engineering.
• Chartered or working towards chartership with the Society of Chartered Surveyors (SCS).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare monthly, interim, and final valuations and payments.
• Provide information to review cash flow and contract positions.
• Place sub-contracts in coordination with Procurement Manager.
• Examine contract documents and identify anomalies.
• Prepare and agree interim and final valuation dates with clients.
• Take-offs and pre requirements for Estimating and Planning teams.
• Prepare final accounts for completed works and settlements.
• Record contractual delays and manage surveyors reporting to you.

Due to continuedexpansionwe require a Commercial Manager in Germany.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, interim, and final valuations, applications for payment, reconciliations of valuations and costs, and amounts for contracts, sub-contractors, specialists, and suppliers
• Provide necessary information to enable accurate and regular review of cash flow and contract positions
• In conjunction with the Procurement Manager, place sub-contracts on work under their control, where required
• Conduct detailed examination of contract documents and highlight any anomalies
• Prepare, submit, and agree interim and final valuation dates with client representatives
• Prepare all necessary take-offs in advance of requirements from the Estimating, Procurement, and Planning departments
• Prepare contract final accounts for each completed section of the works, including all adjustments, and submit and agree with client representatives
• Carefully record all details involving contractual delays
• Manage and coach contract surveyors, assistant surveyors, and junior surveyors reporting to them

Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience, preferably with a main contractor
• Previous project experience in construction/civil engineering (residential, RC frame, retail/commercial, pharmaceutical, data centre, hi-tech)
• Chartered or working towards chartership with the Society of Chartered Surveyors (SCS)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
