Heinemann Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking a Commercial Controller for our Hamburg headquarters (38.5 h/week). You will be responsible for financial management and performance steering of the Commercial division, acting as a strategic sparring partner and translating complex analyses into concrete business decisions.

The role requires a degree in business administration, experience in procurement or commercial controlling, and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP CO, and Power BI, with fluency

Qualifikationen

• Experience in procurement, procurement controlling, or analytical commercial roles.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; SAP CO and Power BI knowledge is preferred.
• Fluent in German and English with strong communication and partnering skills.

Your new job includes

As a Commercial Controller, you are responsible for the financial management and performance steering of the Commercial division. You act as a strategic sparring partner, transforming complex analyses, business cases, and forecasts into concrete business decisions.

In particular, you will

• independently advise the Commercial division on operational and strategic issues and act as a challenger
• proactively identify risks, opportunities, and areas for commercial action
• coordinate, moderate, and guide the content of cross-functional business reviews, and derive priorities and decision requirements
• evaluate complex analyses, business cases, forecasts, and simulations, and translate them into actionable recommendations for management
• further develop the conceptual framework of controlling tools for commercial management and support their implementation
• analyze and evaluate purchasing terms, supplier value, and performance levers
• actively help shape cross-functional projects and take on subprojects and special topics

What you should bring along

• A successfully completed degree in business administration or a comparable qualification
• Relevant practical experience in procurement, procurement controlling, commercial controlling, or a comparable analytical-commercial role
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; ideally, knowledge of SAP CO and Power BI
• Strong understanding of economic relationships, particularly purchasing terms, margins, and performance levers
• Strong business partnership and consulting skills, as well as the ability to challenge decisions and collaborate with various stakeholders
• Conceptual and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as experience in developing analytical and evaluation tools
• Fluent German and English
