Job summary

Orbital Critical Systems (CAF Group) is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer - AI & Simulation to join our on-site teams in Germany, supporting strategic Airbus projects. Locations include Immenstaad and other sites across the country.

The role offers a competitive salary of 60,000–69,000 €, relocation support, German language training, and permanent German contract with long-term projects. You will operate, design CI/CD pipelines, and support AI platforms with Kubernetes and cloud-native

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in Kubernetes, CI/CD and cloud-native technologies.
• B2/C1 English level – mandatory.
• B1/B2 German level – mandatory.
• Citizenship of a European country.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and scale Kubernetes clusters in complex environments.
• Design and optimize CI/CD and GitOps pipelines using modern DevOps practices.
• Automate infrastructure deployment with Terraform, Ansible and Helm.
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana and related tools.
• Drive DevSecOps initiatives, including security, compliance and Zero Trust architectures.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for reliable software delivery.
• Work with Docker, Linux containers and cloud-native technologies.
• Support AI and simulation platforms through Kubernetes and MLOps practices.
• Contribute to microservices and cloud-native architectures.
• Collaborate with international teams and support customer deployments when required.
