Astute is recruiting for two Civil Engineers to support an EPC contractor on two new build BESS projects in Gersthofen & Irsingen, Germany. The role covers early construction, site preparation, earthworks, foundations and coordination with multiple disciplines.

We require hands-on civil site experience, ability to review drawings and manage subcontractors, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance to ensure on-time delivery before electrical installation and equipment

Qualifikationen

• Experience delivering civil works on utility-scale projects.
• Knowledge of German regulations and standards relevant to civil works.
• Ability to review drawings and technical documentation.

Aufgaben

• Support the delivery of civil engineering works during the early construction stages of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
• Coordinate and oversee site preparation activities, including earthworks, excavation, grading, drainage and ground improvement works.
• Manage the construction of foundations and concrete works for battery containers, transformers, switchgear and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Review civil drawings, specifications, method statements and technical documentation to ensure works are delivered in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with civil subcontractors, site management, designers and other engineering disciplines to ensure construction activities remain on programme.
• Monitor site progress, quality and workmanship, identifying and resolving civil engineering issues as they arise.
• Ensure civil works comply with relevant German regulations, project specifications, approved designs and applicable construction standards.
• Support the installation and coordination of underground infrastructure, including cable trenches, ducting, drainage systems and service routes.
• Assist with inspections, quality documentation, RFIs, technical queries and the completion of civil construction records and handover documentation.
• Work closely with the EPC Project Manager and wider site team to ensure civil packages are completed safely and efficiently ahead of electrical installation and BESS equipment mobilisation.
• Ideally have BESS site experience is key, secondary experience in Solar or Wind projects.

Astute's Strategic Division are currently recruiting for 2 Civil Engineers to join the EPC Contractor across 2 new build BESS projects in Gersthofen & Irsingen, Germany on an initial 6 months contract basis.

The Civil Engineer positions come with a day rate from €350.00 to €400.00 per day.
