Job description

About Cherry Ventures

Cherry Ventures is a leading early-stage venture capital firm backing bold entrepreneurs across Europe and beyond. With a hands‑on approach and deep operational expertise, we support startups from day zero, helping them scale into category-defining companies.

The Role

Cherry is excited to announce that we are hiring a Chief of Staff for our Berlin office. As one of Europe’s most successful early stage funds managing $1.5 billion, this is a great time to join the team.

We value hands‑on, high‑ownership individuals who want to drive meaningful projects and shape change. We are seeking a candidate who is proactive and innovative in developing new processes, while also demonstrating the necessary prudence and deference for established structures. You should thrive in dynamic environments, absorb information quickly, and be comfortable working with numbers and limited data. A strong track record of leadership and initiative, both professionally and personally, will set you apart.

You will work closely with our Operating Partner and leadership team in a role that combines strategic thinking with sharp execution. You’ll support firm‑wide initiatives, internal operations, special projects, and portfolio-related work. This is a unique opportunity to be deeply embedded in the heart of how a venture firm runs and grows.

Unfortunately We are not sponsoring VISA at this stage

What You’ll Do
  • Support the firm’s long‑term strategic planning and define success metrics to drive operational excellence
  • Initiate and lead special projects – including cross‑functional initiatives, team offsites, and organisational improvements
  • Help shape and support the work of our Strategic Resources team as they drive growth across the portfolio
  • Ensure clear, aligned internal communication across the firm
  • Coordinate key firm processes such as strategy meetings, investment approvals and portfolio reviews
  • Oversee and continuously improve internal administration and office operations
  • Act as a right hand to the leadership team in executing our ambitious growth plans
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in operations, strategy, or project management, ideally from top‑tier consulting, investment banking, or startup environments
  • Strong academic background from a top university
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, comfortable with numbers and large datasets
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; fast learner when it comes to new tools and systems
  • International mindset and the ability to thrive in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, approachable, empathetic, and a team player
What You’ll Get
  • The opportunity to join one of Europe’s most respected venture firms with a strong track record of backing global winners
  • A high‑impact role working closely with senior leadership and founders
  • A fast‑paced, collaborative environment with real ownership from day one
  • Access to a top‑tier network of entrepreneurs, operators, and investors
  • Flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to shape how a venture firm operates at scale
Why Join Us?
  • Be part of a leading European venture firm with a strong track record of backing global winners.
  • Work with an exceptional team that deeply values founder relationships and operational excellence.
  • Operate in a dynamic, high‑growth environment with access to top‑tier entrepreneurs and investors.
  • Enjoy flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the venture ecosystem.
