Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Quellen von Deal-Flow und Aufbau eines Netzwerks mit Investoren und Unternehmern.

Headquartered in Berlin Germany, we are constantly on the look‑out for promising opportunities starting with Seed investments of €1m to €5m and ensuring continuous support by reserving up to €15m for upcoming financing rounds.

Tasks

We are looking for a seasoned full‑time Principal to join our team. This Berlin‑based role is designed for a visionary leader keen to shape the future of tech‑driven companies. You will play a crucial role in expanding Vorwerk Ventures’ influence within the tech investing ecosystem by identifying, evaluating, and developing high‑potential startups.

• Deal Flow: Source deal flow and build a network with other investors and entrepreneurs. Guide analysts and investment managers in the management of deal flow processing. Supporting assessment and sourcing of investment opportunities leveraging networks, and market research.
• Due Diligence Management & Deal Execution: Independently conduct and drive the due diligence analyses required to support an investment recommendation across product, market, team, and financials. Present investment cases to partnership and negotiate & close deals.
• Portfolio Management and Value Creation: Beyond deal execution, the investment team actively supports portfolio company management teams in developing and executing growth strategies, navigating key challenges, and achieving strategic milestones. The Principal will take increasing accountability through Board seats.
• Internal contribution: Help shape our investment theses and internal processes and contribute to team culture, talent development, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience as an investment professional, preferably with experience as board member
• Track record in early‑stage deal‑making with demonstrated success in sourcing, evaluating, and closing deals
• An established network within the European startup and investment community
• Compelling written and oral communication skills and ability to convey ideas to an Investment Committee with confidence and conviction
• Ability to establish a work plan, identify and prioritize areas of due diligence
• Proven ability to proactively identify, source and/or build opportunities for value‑creation
• Good transaction and investment judgement
• Team player, ability to develop relationships – motivated, energetic, and driven
• Strong academic record (Master’s degree) in Engineering, Technology, Business or Science is strongly preferred
• Fluent English and German and exceptional communication skills, with the flexibility to travel across Europe.
