How will you make a difference?

As a lead member of the CENE Transit Services Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the Quality, Time, and Cost of all service projects within the region and in alignment with the company business development plan. You will participate in the company’s strategic plan and ensure the achievement of the Engineering actions plan across the assigned region.

Therefore, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization, including product management, operations, as well as engineering teams from other Product Lines.

What do we want to know from you?
  • You have a degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, or another technical field.
  • You have more than 10 years of experience in Rail / Automotive or adjacent industries.
  • You are experienced in working in a multinational and matrix organization.
  • You possess strategic management, negotiation, analytical interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
  • You have strong technical leadership, project management, customer service, and time management skills.
What will your typical day look like?
  • Providing technical leadership and oversight to a multidisciplinary team of professionals to develop and deliver solutions ensuring optimal engineering and operational performance of the product or system in a timely and effective manner.
  • Leading and directing the Engineering Department through coordination, meetings, and monitoring progress against schedules to ensure on-budget delivery of products in line with the contract description and quality standards, whilst ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure sufficient engineering competence and expertise are applied to all designs and design changes.
  • Providing technical support for customer issue resolution.
  • Reviewing the technical tender package and validating it.
  • Leading the implementation of strategic improvement processes to maximize the re-use of existing designs, improve durability and reliability testing, and enhance the quality of designs at customer release.
  • Managing compliance with applicable legislation, standards, and licensing requirements.
  • Monitoring and reviewing schedules to ensure timely completion and reporting progress and costs.
  • Coordinating efforts between engineering functions to optimize costs and meet customer requirements.
  • Preparing annual budget requests for projects, estimating staffing and equipment needs based on recent trends and planned activities.
  • Participating actively in the Transit Services Group engineering committee.
