Zusammenfassung

SSC Space in Germany seeks a Business Unit Director to drive strategy, profitability and client partnerships for the space solutions unit. You will lead Service Managers and Key Account Managers, oversee operations, and negotiate contracts with clients and partners to ensure favorable outcomes.

The role reports to the Business Area President and requires EU citizenship, extensive leadership experience, and a strong background in space industry operations.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in engineering and/or business administration.
• 15+ years of professional experience.
• Knowledge of the Space Industry.
• Experience in developing strategic and business plans.
• Thorough understanding of diverse business processes.
• Experience in Contract Management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability in problem-solving and negotiation.

Aufgaben

• Formulate and implement strategy for the business unit in concertation with the president of the business area.
• Develop the business plan for the business unit to meet business unit objectives and enhance profitability.
• Oversee all operations and business activities of the unit to ensure they produce desired results.
• Identify and address problems and opportunities for the business unit.
• Lead Service Managers and Key Account Managers to achieve business and performance goals.
• Act as contract manager for the customer contracts and subcontracts allocated to the business unit. Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients and partners, ensuring favorable outcomes for the organization.
• Ensure employee engagement in the business unit.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders.
• Build strategic partnerships for the business unit, in coordination with the rest of the leadership team.
• Monitor market trends and competitors to identify opportunities and key issues.
• Manage resources and budget to achieve financial and business objectives.
• Work closely with Key Account Managers, other BU directors, BD Director and internal Business Partners to ensure coordination and cooperation across the business area and the group.
• Ensure compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines.
• Report performance data and forecasts.
• Direct report to the Business Area President.
• Part of the Business Area Leadership team

Requirements
