Hannover Re in Hannover is seeking a Business Analyst / Actuary to join the Technical Subledger team. You will be integral in optimising processes within the reinsurance subledger and be involved in various projects, including system implementations and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates will possess a degree in (business) mathematics and have strong actuarial and financial accounting knowledge. The position offers a hybrid work model and several attractive benefits to support your work-life balance.

As part of Finance Global Services, we develop the business and technical infrastructure on which Hannover Re relies to produce its financial figures and basis for business related reports worldwide. You can look forward to

• Analysing and optimising processes within the reinsurance subledger, as well as interfaces to the general ledger and other systems
• Gathering, documenting, and prioritising business and technical requirements in close collaboration with business units and IT
• Designing ledger solutions, data flows, and reporting requirements as part of data and process modeling
• Supporting projects - including in a leading role - related to system implementations, migrations, and the execution of regulatory requirements (e.g. IFRS 17, Solvency II)
• Performing and supporting functional and integration testing, as well as analysing and resolving issues
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders

You come equipped with

• Successfully completed degree in (business) mathematics or a comparable qualification
• Relevant professional experience as an actuary, preferably in a reinsurance environment
• Strong expertise in actuarial topics, financial accounting, and regulatory frameworks (in particular IFRS and HGB)
• High affinity for IT and strong analytical mindset, combined with a structured and solution-oriented approach to work
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex matters in a clear and audience-appropriate way
• A reliable and responsible approach, with the drive to manage and advance topics independently
• Very good German and English language skills
• High level of self-motivation and enthusiasm for actuarial work
